Monthly Ladies Meetings in Prague

Realizing the possibilities and great potential in helping to build a church, a Ladies Ministry was started in Prague in 1997.

Open to any lady who wishes to participate, approximately ten days before the meeting date, an invitation is sent by post to all women who have visited the Prague church and filled out a visitor’s card.

Nearly 65-70% of the women attending these meetings do not regularly attend our church. Our goal is two-fold: first of all, through these meetings, the young ladies of our church will learn to have a compassion for the lost, as well as develop the ministry of hospitality; and secondly, those who enter our doors will realize they have found the answer to their life-long search – Jesus! It is He who fills the void!

Usually taking place on the first Monday evening of each month, the meeting begins with prayer. As the ladies gather in, the first 40 minutes consist of casual conversation with finger sandwiches, desserts, coffee and tea being served. This allows ample time for everyone to become relaxed and make new friends. After singing a chorus or two, a 30 minute Bible Study is then given by Sister Buckland. Covering a wide range of topics, the underlying theme is always intended to create a hunger and a greater thirst for God in their life. Each woman is given a translated out-line of the Bible Study with all of the Bible references typed out in full, enabling them to re-read and give thought to what was said at their own leisure while in the privacy of their own home. The evening comes to a close allowing everyone an opportunity to respond to God’s Word through prayer.

As a result of God’s presence and the blessing on His Word, we are thankful to report several have been baptized and received the Holy Ghost as a result!
